Dear Reader...
Happy New Year! This first newsletter of 2006 is overflowing with inspiration and empowerment―from the depths of “Inspiring Quotes for the New Year” to the heights of “Thoughts to Contemplate,” I hope you will savor every word, dance with every question, ponder every insight and then share it with the world! January, for me, is always a wonderful time of year to call forth new ideas, ring in new opportunities, welcome new friends, strengthen existing relationships and begin building new bridges―and I am looking forward to doing all of these things with you! We are the Universe and we are going to encircle the world with loving thoughts and exceptional deeds, starting today! No matter what your life circumstances are, no matter where you live, what oceans you have crossed or what mountains you have climbed; every single one of us is needed to wrap the world in light... It is time for all of us to stretch further and reach higher. Light has no limits, so let yourself shine! The magnificence of humanity is found in everyday miracles; and I urge you to step up to the plate and swing the bat with everything you’ve got! Hit a home run! Wallop a miracle into the sky and let it shower down on everyone! Begin now by taking conscious action and return every lonely frown with a friendly smile, help a co-worker, compliment an employee, go the extra mile for a neighbor and inspire your children, family and friends to be forgiving, accepting and loving by way of your own example. You are the one whose deeds will change the world. You are the one who has everything to give. You are the one who is the chosen leader. Yes, you. And we are all with you, ...just point the way!

Bridges of Light An Article by Heather K. O’Hara
Our purpose as spiritual/human beings is connection. It is our human responsibility to be the bridge that connects; and it is our spiritual responsibility to be the light that illuminates the bridge. That is why, at this particular moment in time, we are all here—together. We need each other to evolve. We need each other to learn how to love and how to share. We need each other to see and experience ourselves. We are here to help each other out, to prosper together and to create a better world by reaching out from within. We are the connection makers, the light workers, the “good” that prevails even when a world of goodness cannot be seen or heard. We are the divine expressions of “cause.” We are what inspires love to connect to love; greatness to greatness; wholeness to wholeness; and unity to unity. We are the ultimate reflection of Divine Mind in ever-flowing harmony with the perfect “connection plan.” And, we best connect with others by way of sturdy bridges built on, and with, spiritual integrity and human kindness. How do we begin to build such bridges? ...Through friendship, through love and understanding, through compassion, through giving, through sharing, through accepting others as they are and seeing the goodness in them. It is not for any of us to decide what good is, but it is for all of us to choose to be an “example” of what good does. Who others are is their goodness. What they believe about themselves is their religion. What they are made of is their divinity. How they choose to live is their path and, because of the perfection of the plan, who they are is, also, who we are. Since the beginning of time, we have been asked to "know" ourselves through our relationships with our own divinity and the divinity of others. Every human being immediately rises to a much higher level of consciousness as soon as he begins to recognize and value his similarity to those who appear to be different. Whether we define ourselves religiously as Christians, Hindus or Buddhists; whether we describe ourselves racially as black or white; and regardless of which side of the equator we live on—every great spiritual teacher implores us to be who we are because we are all expressions of Infinite Love, and to look through this Love and see ourselves in all of those with whom we share this world. As the Dalai Lama suggests in Ethics for the New Millennium, "In order to overcome our tendency to ignore others' needs and rights, we must continually remind ourselves of what is obvious: that basically we are all the same." And in my quest to discover the authentic teachings of Jesus, I found that he, too, instructed his apostles to never condemn another man for his core beliefs or religion; but instead, to find the likeness in every man’s character to his own; and to connect with that similarity. And this is what we must all do in the building of the bridges of light―find the likeness and the similarity in others and extend our own goodness to theirs by connecting to the light in them, even if that light appears to be no bigger than a grain of sand. No one appreciates or honors someone who tears them down; by nature, we are drawn to those who accept us as we are. We are all doing our best, and those who recognize our qualities are those who recognize their own qualities―and, if allowed, they will use those qualities to inspire and empower us to be greater; and to live from a spiritual perspective of wholeness and unity. Appreciate and honor those who build beside you; as well as those who only dream of building. Show compassion for those who try, yet falter; as well as for those who do no more than gather wood. Remember, at some point in time you, too, tried and failed; and you, too, gathered―but did not build. Do not demolish the accomplishment of trial and error, nor lessen the victory of gathering. Perhaps the one who has tried and failed possesses the secret of what does not work. And, perhaps the one who merely gathers, carries the plank that completes the longest bridge. Know that it is only by working together that our noble creations will withstand the storms that bring Earth’s occupants closer to the Divinity of Man. Take care to notice the good of the bridges that already exist, even if they are not as you would have created them; even if they are crooked, cracked or falling down―offer only your friendship and the use of your tools for repair―not your advice and not your opinion of the perceived value or worth of a particular bridge. Let others design as they see fit, and let the builder of the bridge make the ultimate decision as to the scope and the strength of his own creation. Work diligently on your own bridge; your own pathways and connections―as others perceive your light, so will they perceive their own. From the light of compassion and kindness, every bridge will become a connection to truth and understanding; and every man, woman and child will celebrate the sound of the footsteps of Higher Love, as it travels far and wide, passing from one bridge to another.

Be it, do it, have it... you are it All already!
It is my experience that New Year Resolutions last no longer than the time it takes to think of them. Why? Because there is no action in them; and a swift thought without any conscious activity to carry it forward is a thought that has no power. Instead of repeat resolutions make “conscious agreements” and act on them immediately. Remember, it is always up to you to take the first step toward what you already are and what you already have―the Universe will then match or exceed the energy in that step and what is already yours will appear before your expecting eyes with great enthusiasm and grace! Here are a few “conscious agreements” to get you started:
Instead of resolving to save money this year... Ponder this: “I AM Infinite Prosperity and because I AM Infinite Prosperity, Infinite Prosperity is the Reality of what I AM.” Action: Open a savings account with whatever money you have right now. This creates a definite “space” where your Infinite Prosperity can comfortably accumulate. Doing is Being and Being is Having... By consciously creating a special place for Infinite Prosperity to dwell on the physical plane, you have automatically acknowledged the realization that you are already Infinite Prosperity―the Reality was never that you didn’t have prosperity, only that you had not yet created a space for it. Now... donate, contribute, tithe, give. Give with joy and gratitude; give with love and an attitude of sharing. Every time you give to someone else, you are giving to yourself. Sharing the Infinite Prosperity that you already are not only makes you feel good, it is also the quickest way to fill up your bank account. Instead of resolving to lose weight this year... Ponder this: “I AM Infinite Fitness and Health and because I AM Infinite Fitness and Health, Infinite Fitness and Health is the Reality of what I AM. Action: Go out and buy yourself something new to wear that is at least one size smaller than the size you are wearing now. This creates a definite “space” for your Infinite Fitness and Health to dwell. You are actually providing a special place for a lighter, healthier, happier you. Again, Doing is Being and Being is Having... By choosing something wonderful for your Infinite Fitness and Health to wear, you have automatically acknowledged the realization that you are already Infinite Fitness and Health―the Reality was never that you were overweight, only that your Infinite Fitness and Health had no place to go. Now that it does, the “you” that fills it will become proportionate to the space. Now... instead of focusing on the “lack” associated with diets, focus on the abundance of fit, trim, healthy and fun things to do. Sign up for a dance class, a Tai Kwon Do class, or take ski lessons. (Add more to your life than you take away.) Be fit, trim and healthy by having fun and doing what you love to do! ...Give yourself an abundance of activity! Fill your plate with healthy foods; and fill your head with healthy, happy, fit and trim thoughts. Think and speak slenderness and health―meditating on the truth, “I AM LIGHT,” covers both the spiritual and physical aspects of fitness and well-being. As I stated in my book, Living on Level 7, what comes out of your mouth is far more important than what goes into it. (This is not a license to ride a mountain of Big Macs to the other side of eternity while chanting, “I am slim.” Rather, it is an agreement to practice the healthy and positive principles of abundance.) Additionally, lack and guilt are two of the “heaviest” energies in the universe. So, stay away from lack and guilt and, instead, direct your thoughts, words and attention toward the presence of light (spirit), the presence of activity (positive action) and the presence of wholeness (health). Note: If you think that buying yourself something a size smaller than what you wear right now is a waste of time, money and energy... what are you consciously agreeing to? Hint: “I AM .......” You got it! Whatever it is you don’t want, don’t claim―and whatever it is that you do want, know that you already have it―and make a space for it now! Be, do and have with Passionate Presence, Authority and Patience; and become more powerful than you ever imagined!

My identity as a human being has created human experiences; my identity as a spiritual being creates experiences of love and fulfillment―true success.
I know that if consciousness is focused exclusively on the outer world of form, the creative energy released will be totally conditioned by human consciousness, which includes the universal belief that “if anything can go wrong it will.” However, I also know that if consciousness is predominantly spiritual, the energy expressed will be from the Mind of God within, which manifests as harmlessness, wholeness, abundance, fulfillment, and harmony. I read this book eight times! ...It’s that good!
The Urantia Book by... oh, you’ll just have to read it and find out! This book is so fascinating that even though it is over 2,000 pages, I practically read it straight through! ...I could not put it down! Here’s the trick to full comprehension of this most intersting volume―read it backwards! Start at Part IV, then read Parts III, II and I (in that order). By the time you get to Part I (The Central and Superuniverses), you’ll understand who is who and what is what! You can order The Superbeings from Amazon.com and The Urantia Book can be found in local bookstores or on their website, http://www.urantia.org Both of these books get a 10+ (10 being the highest). So, if you really, really want to expand your consciousness―either of these books is the best place to start!
