--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LETTER FROM HEATHER O’HARA ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Readers...
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I wish you all a beautiful and joyous season of peace, unity and love—remembering, always, that it is the radiance of your own plentiful light that is the greatest gift of all…
I think of this festive season as a celebration of the world’s children; and as my own children grow taller and stronger and wiser and more aware of their purpose in the world each day—I am filled with a sense of devotion to them, knowing that it is time to give them a gift that will truly make a difference in their lives.
My intent is not to replace the magic and joy of Christmas as we know it, for it is a cherished holiday that my family loves and looks forward to as we secretly wrap those wondrous gifts that we have so carefully chosen for each other. For us, that special day of being together, of giving and receiving, of sharing and caring, of laughter and love… is the magic of Christmas—and I am forever grateful that I have three remarkable sons who joyfully celebrate this wonderful day with me and who love giving as much as they love receiving.
No, I would never replace the holiday traditions we love… it is a magical time for all of us—and, yet, this year... I hope to enhance it with one special gift that will never be broken, outgrown or discarded—a gift that radiates the true meaning of Christmas; a gift that will last forever.
After many weeks of contemplation, I realized that the one thing I could give my children that would last a lifetime and add a touch of magic to their everyday lives would be the “gift of giving” from their own hearts in a very special way.
Not a “giving” that comes from a place of “I have more, so I must give to those who have less,” or a giving that comes from “It’s a holiday; the time to give,” but rather a giving that comes from a place of “I have plenty, therefore, I have something to give every day.”
This kind of giving, the giving that comes from Spirit (the Place of Plenty), is a gift that reaches out and says, “We all have Plenty; let me help make your Plenty visible to you.”
This is the special gift that I have chosen for my children this year… and it is patiently waiting, in a small box beneath our Christmas tree, with all of their names on it. And, as insignificant as that little box may look right now, it holds the key to their joyous futures—an opportunity for them to give from Spirit—the “Place of Plenty” that sees the giver and the receiver as equals.
Inside that small box is a photograph of a little girl from Mozambique, a child from across the world, born into an AIDS infected community who has not “less” than my own children have, but who simply needs someone to help her make her own “Plenty” visible—and I know, deep within my own heart, that my sons will be happy to receive the gift of sponsoring this child; and that what they offer from Spirit will be returned to them time and time again.
The first gift of Christmas was a child; and every child on Earth is a gift to all of us. There are so many children in this world who need to know that they are loved and cherished; that they, too, are valuable, important and deserving of a life filled with the magic of Christmas—every day. Please give yourself and, perhaps your family, the gift of the opportunity to give by reaching out to just one child—help them to know that they, too, have Plenty and that their Spirit is equal to yours. This is what a miracle is made of and it is something that will change your life forever.
It does not need to be a holiday to share your Spirit with another soul. We are all connected, every moment of every day… We all have plenty to give, and how we honor the “Place of Plenty” within ourselves is by sharing it with others—not because we are saviors, but because we know that abundance is our true nature and that those to whom we give, ultimately… save us.
Every time we offer the gift of our own bountiful nature, we are sharing our awareness and understanding of Higher Love; and we are whispering to the world… the Poetry of God.
In the spirit of true friendship, regardless of what name we have given Divinity, what teacher we choose to honor or what holidays we celebrate, we are all here to help each other. There is a “Prince of Peace” born beneath every star, every minute of every day… and every one of us is here by the Grace of the Divine Presence to express the Grace from which we have all emerged.
We are all leaders. We are all teachers. We will all learn from each other. Not one of us can master this journey alone… not one of us can do it without a hand to hold.
Say a prayer for the Earth that welcomes and sustains us all. Walk in peace. Smile from your heart. Help a child. There is a perfect plan and you are an important part of that plan. Every time you step forward, reach out and take someone’s hand you are dancing with the Light of the world.
Gloria in Excelsis Deo, …Heather O’Hara

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE GIFT --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- by Heather K. O'Hara
The Gift...
The Gift is not hidden; it never was . . .
It is less of a mystery than one might assume as it was never intended to be a secret—but, rather, a simple truth.
It is not discovered, but remembered.
It comes not from its encumbered past, but unfolds, instead, from its Magnificent History.
It began as an Ingenuous Thought; and then, from the Highest Place of All, it emerged as the ever precious present.
Those who seek it will never find it for it is neither distant or near, but precisely placed at the center of the Universe—which is nowhere other than “here.”
Those who see it quickly give it away—knowing there is no promise of tomorrow and that The Gift, which is meant to be given, must be given today.
It is not reclusive or elusive. It is not guarded, kept, or saved.
It is eternal, infinite, priceless… and no greater gift could ever be shared or more joyously revealed.
It never grows old, and yet, it becomes more beautiful with age.
It is a miracle. It changes lives. It is filled with the Love and Devotion from whence it came, and whoever receives it feels This Love… and is healed.
The Gift was created from the heart of its Giver… and because the Giver is part of the gift that It made; it asks only the Highest Questions, which are these:
What brings happiness?
And in answer to these questions, The Gift responds… selflessly.
It is unique, irreplaceable, and perfect in every way. And, to treasure it is to honor the One from which it came.
No, The Gift is not hidden; it never was...
It is merely a simple truth.
And you who remember what the gift is, why it is here, and what it must do; can rejoice every day as you give it away, knowing that The Gift… is you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A MUSICAL GIFT FROM AARON SHUST ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For those of you who like traditional Christmas music, which I love… this is a free gift you won’t want to miss! This version of “O’Come, O’Come Emmanuel” by Aaron Shust is possibly one of the most beautiful Christmas songs I have ever heard. There is nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for if you choose not to; the song is free to listen to in its entirety and it will definitely awaken your Christmas spirit! Just click on the banner below (which was much too beautiful to replace with an ordinary link!)… listen, relax, and feel the spirit of the season unfold . . .
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT NOTE: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know that there are many, many good organizations that help children throughout the world. You may know of some that I have never heard of, or you may currently be contributing to an organization through your church, school or place of employment.
If you would like to help a child and you do not know which organizations stand true to their mission; here are the two that I know of which work for and from the highest level of integrity:
World Vision:
World Vision is the organization through which I sponsor children. For about $30 a month, the child you sponsor will truly receive a little bit of “Christmas” every day. So little means so much to these children, and through this program, they are provided with food, clothing, healthcare and an education.
What I love most about World Vision is that I actually have an opportunity to participate in the lives of the children I sponsor, even though I may never meet them. Every sponsor is encouraged to correspond with the child they have chosen to help, and you can also send photographs of your own family as well as special gifts. ALL that you send gets delivered to the child you are sponsoring—nothing falls to the wayside or gets lost in the system.
If you do not choose to sponsor a child, you can contribute to an entire family’s health and well-being by purchasing a one-time gift. A goat, for example, costs approximately $50, and supplies plenty of milk, year after year, to a family of four or five. There are a number of gifts that you can purchase through World Vision that are specifically intended to become the tools for many families to improve their lives and the lives of their children.
If you are interested in knowing about this organization and the good that they do for the children of the world, the phone number is: 1-888-511-6514
Or you can visit the World Vision Web site at, www.WorldVision.org
Toys for Tots:
I have been donating to Toys for Tots for years. There are donation boxes in most major stores across the United States—simply purchase a toy from any store you choose and drop it into a Toys for Tots collection box; it will be wrapped and delivered to a child who is praying for a miracle… Please let that miracle be you.
There are thousands of Toys for Tots Web sites; the one I recommend, if you would like to make an online donation through PayPal, is the Web site created by Rick Beneteau, an extraordinary man who works tirelessly for the children of the world: www.InternetToyDrive.org
