Foreword by John Harricharan

Every once in a while, I am called upon to do something extremely special, something that brings me great joy and, at the same time, permits me to share a bit of what I feel.  One such time was when Heather O’Hara asked me to write the introduction to her wonderful book, AXIS, The Song in the Center of the Soul.

It wasn’t too long ago that I met Heather.  We kept in touch using the more prosaic methods of the telephone and the Internet.  Through our conversations, I discovered a truly evolved human being, one whose spirit reflected joy and hope on all it touched.  And then I read Heather’s book, AXIS, The Song in the Center of the Soul.

From the pages of her book came forth song, music, peace, joy and, most of all, hope.  In a very special way, I felt I was communicating, through her written word, with someone of tremendous spiritual stature, someone who has experienced life in all its forms—the ups and downs, the great joys, the deep sadness, the difficult challenges—as well as the glorious successes.

Life is a combination of all our experiences and the way we choose to deal with them.  Heather shows us how she has guided her life and touches our very souls with the words and sentences she so wonderfully crafts in her book.  At first, you may think her words are only poetry, but you would quickly discover that she goes beyond poetic symbolism to the very core of life and living.

I will not go into the details about this fantastic volume, because, dear reader, I want you to have the same thrill of discovery that I experienced in reading AXIS, The Song in the Center of the Soul.  I wouldn’t want to deprive you of the pleasure of discovering for yourself the wisdom, spirit and emotions that are embedded in each page of this book.
